According to the AR Lower list on AR15.com, HS lowers are CMT lowers. I've seen them at DFW gun shows being sold by a couple vendors. I think Lone Star Wholesale carries them.

If they're CMT receivers that's good. I would ask about their finishes because I remember some having a dark grey finish like they were just annodized, and others were the dark black like the teflon coating used by most companies today. Actually some of their Stag receivers were like that, some gray and some black.

Are you finding some for a good price?

Brownells has some in stock. Just looking for some options. Sabre told me 18 months. Double Star 8 months to a year. I've always used Sabre before I got my FFL. Now I can't get anything from them. I'm trying to locate any that I can. Then lower parts kits are even harder to get.

They just don't have the flashy name like Colt, RRA, Sabre, Bushmaster .... I've seen Sabre receivers and they are sharp. The Smith and Wesson, and Charles Daly receivers are showing up now, and both look as good as the Sabre. Does Brownell's have either of these?

Function wise, I'm sure the HS are fine being a CMT manufactured receiver.
