Hi guys, giving a shout out as requested for all new members. I myself joined several months backed but life got in the way for me to get involved properly. So now that I have time I have chance to hopefully do this right.
I am an avid gun supporter and owner in Arizona. I have always been a fan of the big caliber weapons, as that's how I was raised. The .223 was a joke of a round when created and they military should have stuck with the 30-06 and .308 cal. Now I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here about that but figured you guys should know my opinion too. Tired of reading the stories of our boys in Iraq war not doing any damage with their current set up.
Now like most of you guys I was looking for a gun that had the lightness of an AR-15, but the stopping power of a .308. I started reading about this 6.8spc a few years back and the capabilities of it and was really impressed. And that's how I ended up here as I was doing some more research about the 6.8spc a few months back. This site was always near the top and highly recommended for new 6.8 owners or soon to be 6.8 owners for help.
I bought a DPMS .308 AP4 earlier this year at a local gun show. I was torn to buy a RRA 6.8spc vs. the gun I bought considering an almost $400 price difference. But considering that the 6.8spc was still new in some aspects I wasn't sure if the RRA was a reliable gun. They didn't have too much information within the magazine articles. Now only if I have found this site before I went to the show! Glad to see a lot of happy 6.8 RRA owners here.
So now I am in the process of trying to sell the gun so I can get a 6.8! That's my story in a nutshell, so if it was a little long I apologize. I know I will have lots of questions concerning the 6.8spc, mostly on customization, but I know I'm in the right place.
