Is there anything I need to look for? I don't have any factory loads, all stuff I have made over the last week. Several different powders in a variety of weights.

If anyone is in the DFW metroplex and wants to go shooting with me tomorrow, let me know. I will be going to the Garland Gun range.

Thanks
David

When breaking in a new upper, I like to make an extra 50-100 rounds of a known good load to zero and break in the upper. I check where the brass is ejecting and make sure it runs properly.

I got the upper used from Jason Peterson @ Bedford County Tactical. The only think I am slightly worried about is having that flat wire spring crammed into the carbine length buffer tube. It makes it somewhat challenging to even fully pull the charging handle on the bench. I am just hoping there is enough oomph there to cycle it.

The flat wire sping shouldn't be a problem. I have been using one in my bison 6.8 and I get consitent 3:30 to 4:00 ejection angles with 90gr TNT's and 29.5grs of Re7. As well as 3:00 to 3:00 angles with SSA 115 OTM combat loads. If you do run into any problems, all you need to do is clip a coil and go from there.

Well, it shot fine today. I couldn't tell where the brass was ejecting. I had to build a big bean bag wall next to me to catch my brass.

The accuracy was horrible with the lighter loads. But it got OK with the higher power loads. I will make another post about it in the reloading section.
