I felt the same way.
Most people probably wouldn't notice the difference, but I think they glossed over a lot of things or just got it plain wrong.
One of the things was they mentioned the reduced recoil "due to the DI system" vs conventional piston designs.
Horse$hit. It's the small cartridge that gives low recoil.
DI is still a piston, it's just integrated into the carrier and bolt.
They didn't talk at all about the inconsistent performance of the 556, especially out of short barrels.
Or barrier penetration performance.
They did show an M16 chewing through cinder block walls on full auto.
Not all that impressive IMHO. I wonder how much of the round actually got through. Probably just fragments.
They didn't talk about the reliability of the M4 in the sandbox.
They didn't talk about the single most important new development, the 6.8SPC.
As for replacements, they didn't talk about the SCAR, just the HK416 and XM8.
The XM8 uses an improved lever style magazine release and non-STANAG mags BTW.
The beautiful thing about DVR is you can watch stuff in slow motion.
They did have a lot of slow motion, full auto shots. Watch that in DVR slow motion and you have double slow mo.
One version of the 416 was ejecting brass @ 4:30. The other carbine version was ejecting @ 1:30.
Interesting.
They did mention the 416 has drain holes in the buffer tube and carrier to pass water drain tests.
This may be relatively easy to do on your own.
But the editors did slip in something priceless...
In the last 30 seconds, they show a well endowed girl ( they gotta be Ds  ), hip firing an M16 on full auto.
After checking them out, I noticed the T shirt. It's got his picture and O B A M A in big letters above it.
I just about fell off the couch.
