will the H322 work for reloading the .308 in 150gr-168gr BTHP?

And how well is H335 for the 6.8 in loading 110 BTHP? I ask on the H335, cause its supposed to also works for .308?

Which rifle in .308? FAL, HK91, M14, AR10? Barrel length? H335 will work for both. H322 will work but is a little fast.
Sorry M14

If your shooting the traditional 22" barrel then H4895 is one of the better powders. I use 42grains behind a 147 or 150 grain FMJ which gives military ball velocities. H322 will work, it's just not optimal for the longer barrel. H335 is about the same in burn as H4895, but I would check Hodgdon's web sight for load info. The M14 is designed for military ball which is lighter than modern civilian .308 ammo so I wouldn't load to max, a grain or two under would be better. You can also look at TAC, it works well in the M14, I use 42 to 42.5 grains with a 147gr FMJ.

I use H322 for all my 6.8 and .223, but I leave all my .308 work to 4064 (for 168gr) and Varget (for my 175s). I'd say the 322 would work for the very light 150s, but not higher. Just my opinion though.

Are you just trying to find one powder for everything? Because I've gone down that road myself and realized I was leaving a lot on the table by not using different powders for different purposes...

For the most part, Im planning on doing 110gr BTHP for the 6.8 as my multi-purpose/shtf round that I will be making a lot of as well for the .308 in 147-150gr fmj. I plan on getting better powders for the heavy bullets that I will be more accurate with but I wont be going through a lot of bullets and burning a hole in my pocket book.

I hear you there. I've often wondered how BLC-2 or Varget would work w/a 20" 6.8. I get great results w/these two in my .308 and .223. It would be great if they could be used in the longer barreled 6.8's, but I've never seen any info on anyone trying it. I assume they would be slow in the shorter barrels, but I still wonder about it in the longer ones.
