I'm building a new rifle and have been seriously thinking about doing it in 6.8 -- I joined up to see what all the hype is about

I'm looking for good ammo sources and info on recoil compared to 5.56, and whether or not there is such a thing as good 6.8 mags and where to buy them. Thanks everyone!

Welcome aboard. The two best ammo manufacturers are Hornady and SSA (no particular order). PRI, Barrett, and the C-Products mags are all good (Stay away from the C-Products 18 round straight mags). As far as recoil, it is very similar to the 5.56. It may seem like it is a little more, but it doesn't mean you can't accurately shoot as fast.
