Currently shooting ARP 6mm Predator, ARP 556x42, ARP 6.8 cartridges. Haven't been hunting in years, but if I did I'd feel comfortable using anyone of them. Most of my time shooting nowadays is target practice and load development.

How about you ?

I shoot 22lr at targets the most and some 6.8 spc. Hunting is either 6.8 spc or 300RCM depending on the stand/area/game I’m hunting.

All my targets are on 4 hooves/paws. Pigs/deer/yotes/bobbycats. I appreciate hand warmers for dialing in the thermal. That said, I’ve shot 12.5” ARP 6.8 exclusively with a 7mag sprinkled in there occasionally. The 16” barreled 6.8 gets some attention. Nothing beats shooting turtles with a .22lr suppressed before a night of swine whacking.

For targets, usually what is going to be used for the next hunt to become familiar with it. This year its been 22 magnum, 12 gage, 6.8 spc, 338 win mag and 444 Marlin.

Most favorite, 444, 338 and 6.8.

1. Favorite target rifles are 223 and 6.5CM. I shoot 223 mostly between 300-700 yards. The 6.5CM is my 1000 yard.
2. Hunting 6.8SPC for hogs and coyote. I love the 6.8 because of the low recoil and fast follow up shots. The SST bullet seems to do pretty well. 270 Winchester or 7mm Rem Mag for deer. About to try a 6 Creed for coyote...hoping for devastation! haha

Oh, and when it comes to Nutria hunting...the 22-250 is fun! I get explosions on the small ones.

7.62x39 for both, as you can still get ammo for it and its the cheapest rifle ammo out there. Killed 7 deer with it shooting Wolf SP this year.

Tac30 is my favorite hunting round though.

I'm in transition from 300+ yd above the tree line being typical big game to if I had a big step bumper under the brush guard I wouldn't have to stop to pick up the suicidal deer .
7×57 is probably my favorite . It followed closely by the 280 and 06' . I can't see 300 yd here unless it's down a pole line . 358 Win , 45-70 , 7×57 , and 257 Roberts in no particular order rule the roost . With a recent 6.8 bolt gun assembled I'm liking it here maybe enough to bench others .

For the range 222 , 6.8 , and whatever has fallen in my lap recently .

I'm partial to 45 Colts for both although without the case length restrictions I once had an N frame 45 S&W is looking good over the BlackHawk Colts .

12 ga . If there were ever a single cartridge solution this is it .

My 223 and tac6 are my favorite target guns. My 308 was my go to hunting caliber for years but since I built my 6.8 the 308 has spent alot of time sitting in the safe. I've killed a bunch of deer with the 6.8 and it's worked perfectly. The last 2 years though I've been using my 270msr and it's becoming my new favorite caliber. My 6.8 is smaller and lighter so it's still my go to rifle if I'm doing a lot of hiking around the mountains otherwise I'm taking the 270msr

Don't hunt so everything I shoot is a target/bench round. And ALL are deadly accurate. ;)
#1 .221 Fireball.
#2 6.8 SPC bolt gun.
#3 6BR.
Waiting on range time for my "20 TCM" wildcat.

Right now I’m shooting .223 , .270 Winchester, 8x57 Mauser, .41 mag.

All are equally fun to punch paper, blow up milk jugs , or feral hog heads.

I used the Tac30 for deer this past season. I liked the way it literally knocked them off their feet DRT. My SHTF grab and go will have to be 5.56 and .308 because that is what my core group of prepper group decided on.
