Just having purchased a gun with a match grade barrel I learned about the importance of having a good bore cleaner and excellent copper solvent. I wanted to open Pandora's box and see what you guys thought is an excellent all around bore cleaner. Personally I prefer Boretech's Eliminator. You??

Montana's "extreme copper killer" is good as a patch applied, Sweets is the old standard, also patch apply. I am trying to use more foam now and less scrubbing but if scrubbing is the only way to remove it then that's just the way it has to be.
Tim _W did a little test at HTRs last time we were there, maybe he will chime in.
One really dissolved the bullet the other did not do much at all.

I have been using butch's bore shine and I think it's been working wel, I was told it was "mild" and I didn't want to ruin a barrel. I run a few patches with the jag then some alcohol and then 1 patch with some oil.

I use Butches Bore Shine, Montana's "extreme copper killer" (formerly Montana's 50 BMG), and Sweets.

When I'm breaking in a barrel I use Sweets and then a nylon brush to make sure the coppers out. Then over time I just use Butches and it seems to work. In between cleaning I use a bore snake and G96 gun treatment.

no such thing as a good all around cleaner. if it's good at copper fouling then it will lack at carborn or lead and vice versa. i use Hoppes #9 for carbon, Sweets 7.62 for copper, and Bore tech rimfire blend for Lead.

+1 on the MPro 7. I heard that hoppes elite is the same thing. It works the same.
If that is true then I am not impressed with the performance of elite. It took me more than thirty minutes of soaking scrubbing and running patches through the bore and after all that the elite copper terminator patches still ran blue. Finally I Couldn't handle it anymore and after mopping the bore soaked with elite let it sit 30 min and then ran a patch through only to have it blue still. After eliminator, I can let it sit and soaked after the initial cleaning (20 min) and the patches still come out clean
