i was thinking about going out west to hunt mule deer. sense i have not shot anything with my 6.8 yet, everyone around here things it is to small. i hunt with people that use 308's and 30-06's. it is good to see that the 6.8 can take down some big animals.

I would't hesitate to use a 6.8 on mule deer
I have a 308 and shot a bunch of deer with it, a 270 and the 6.8
I have killed a mess of deer and hogs with 243s, 22-250s, 25-06, etc...

the 6.8 wacks them as good as anything
