i was looking at the duobletap sight pricing there .45 golddots and see they make 6.8spc now has any one used there 6.8 ?
I know there other ammo like there .45 is rely hot pushing max pressure so would there 6.8 be on the lines of combat loads i may pickup a fue boxes just to try them out.

While I really like their pistol ammo I was not impressed with their 6.8 ammo.

They use Remington components and load to the same specs, which is mild.
The only difference between Remington loaded ammo and Doubletap is that
Doubletap does not seal the primers and is much dirtier firing than Remington.

Another thing that bugged me about Doubletap is the way they package the ammo.
The boxes are too big or the styrofoam shell holder is too small.
So the ammo ends up rattling around the inside of the box and breaking the styrofoam into little pieces.
I emailed McNett to tell him my concerns and he could care less.

I'll just stick with SSA and Hornady. It's a shame, his 10mm ammo is smoken, and he's local to me.

I bought a box locally (before I knew they used Rem brass) but still haven't shot it yet. Yep, I get my DT locally. They make the best/hottest 10mm loads!

I just received an email from (mike?) the pres there, and he indicated that they just switched to SSA brass
with the small primer, and that it was working out great.
