I just ordered this upper from CMMG.

A couple of questions:

I ordered with the YHM Single Rail Gas Block and a Troy 9.0 MRF-M rail. Is this rail ideal for this? Will come all the way up to the gas block?

This rifle will primarily be used for hunting.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Welcome aboard. Yes, that Troy 9" rail will work. I would have gone with a low-profile gas block and a Rifle length Troy Handguards with the 18" barrel.

Most if not all rife length are 12" I believe. A 12" will look like this:

That's a LT rail, and it looks like a yhm lp block.

Thanks for the help. I changed the order to the YHM Lopro and the troy 12". Figure I should see it sometime next year!
