What is the difference between the SS and the aluminum c-products magazines? Is there a quality difference? Weight? Is one of the finishes better?
Which are the preferred in 556? I know the 6.8 come in only SS.

Boy, I'm glad this forum is nothing like that one. I got nothing but crap out of that.

So the springs rust. Don't see an issue with that.

SS uses different follower. Is that bad?

So out of this all, Is the aluminum with CS spring the best one to own.

The ones I got with the last group buy seem to work. I've only shoot about 200 rounds through them. They seem very good.

I got a 556 aluminum mag and several 68 stainless mags from the last group buy.
The stainless are heavier, they just feel stronger and better to me. :)

I'm speaking of all the other models. The 6.8s I have are SS from the group buy.

I'm ordering a couple thousand and I am needing input on what people like. I'm going to stock their magazines. If I was going to stock just one. Would it be SS or aluminum? If there is a big following of both I will carry both.

I think more of this forums opinions than anywhere else. That's why I'm asking. I'm stocking up for area shows.

I don't think it really matters that much. If I were in your shoes, I'd actually try to sell the USGI mags, which are aluminum and are proven reliable, especially with the Magpul Gen III followers.

I agree the best upgrade to a mag is the magpul followers....

I changed out my C Products SS mag springs with the IMSI (?) springs. They seem much stronger and the feedback here was that the C Products springs are an issue, long term. A better solution for 6.8 would be to buy Barrett mags!
