Built a 6.8 for a friend... so now I had to join the club

Hello,

Not new to shooting or building rifles but am new to 6.8. My best friend asked me to build him a custom rifle so I did :D

After shooting it I felt like I needed a new project so I decided to build one myself. Hope to build an SBR around an Innovative Arms can that I won recently. I'll be making a dedicated suppressed hog annihilation SBR in 12.5 unless I sacrifice a little and go 10 or 11" instead. I hope to learn a little bit more to add to my knowledge base. I hope to enjoy many conversations with the gurus here in the coming days.

Cute toes and nice rifle!

Welcome! Lots of SBRs round here. Many (like me) find the 12.5" to be the sweet spot. Although I also have an 8.5" for craps and giggles.

Heinous typos thanks to autocorrect.

Lol it's either the feet or the dog. I usually get one or the other but never both lol. Yeah I'm pretty stoked to start mine after seeing his perform. It's shooting within 2" @100yds but I'm sure it will tighten up with more time behind the trigger and some quality hand loads.
Whose barrel is in his?

Welcome to the bright side. You have a lot of choice with the 6.8.

ARP 16" scout. It's pretty nice. I'm trying to research SBR barrels but don't know what I want yet.
