Bond Arms: Snake Slayer

Been dealing with an itch for a while now. About a year or so ago, a good friend of mine snagged one of these up: .45Colt/.410 shot shell. Nice shooting (for a hand cannon).

Santa was nice to me this year, and Tuesday netted me a trip to Cabelas. And, one followed me home. Mine is also the Snake Slayer, in .45Colt/.410 shot shell (chambered in 3").

The fit/finish is very nice... and, made in the Great State of Texas to boot !! With a photo copy of my receipt, and a e-form filled out, I can get a spare barrel for 50% off! All of their barrels/calibers interchange onto both sized frames, and the two sizes of grips will fit on either sized frame too. I'm thinking a .357/.38 barrel as my second one. the .22lr and .22mag do not qualify for the 50% off special.

That's really neat RD, so's exactly how do you intend to carry that cannon?
They make an OWB cross-draw style holster I rather like. I'm contemplating whether I'm going to buy one, or make one. They also make a shoulder rig for them. Barrel on this one is 3.5" long, so, the whole rig isn't that big. A jacket pocket isn't too shabby either.
Recently bought one of the NAA 22 magnums.........still haven't figured out what to do with it lol!

Ya shoot that little bugger dont cha know. I shoot my sidewinder couple times a month. Just for kicks i handed it to a range buddie other day. He's bout 77 yo with one bad eye. Took a few shots but he was hitting sticks in the dirt berm on the 25yd range. He impressed himself with that lil gun.

...helps if your tailor is Omar "the tent maker" lol!
Have had one for a couple of years. Really like it. Last time I took it to a range the range master made a bee line over to ooh and aah over it. Keep it by the bed side in our 5th wheel loaded with 3" PDX-1 shells. In tight quarters like that doubt I could miss unless I pointed it at the floor or ceiling.

The extended grip makes it fit my hand really well.

I'm surmising there's a lot of nastiness behind those PDX1 shells... one of the reasons I opted for them in mine.

I think one of the main things folks need to "make friends with"... is that a gun that's comfy to shoot, isn't always comfy to carry. A gun that's comfy to carry, isn't always comfy to shoot. (Civilian/CCW, that is).
Agreed. Mines a night stand gun so don't want to be fumbling with, if I'm woken up. But it does fit in a coat pocket quite well.
