Best Primers and Powder for All Around Use

I don't reload yet but it's coming, now that primer and powder supplies seem to be returning to a somewhat normal state.

At first my goal will be just to learn and keep ammo costs as low as possible. Blasting first, I'll worry about precision later.

I have Kotonics 1-11 4 groove barrels, 2) 16in (mid and lite weight) and 1) 18". They all eat anything I run thru them, so early on I bought a whole lot of the early SSA X-Treme round when it was real cheap. I have lots of large primer brass and a good bit of SSA small primer brass as well.

There are plenty of good threads on equipment but I'd like a couple of suggestions on primers, powder (H322?) and bullets for all around use.

SSA may delay my reloading kickoff for a while with their new OTM plinking round but I want to start stocking up on components for my own plinking load.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I use RE7 for 85-90gr bullets. H4198 is faster, but I have better accuracy w/the RE7.

I use H322 & RE10x for 100+gr bullets. I get the best accuracy w/the H322, but RE10x is anywhere from 150-200fps faster.

You can also use H335 for just about all of the loads. But it is a ball powder an is more temp sensitive than those mentioned above.

I pretty much use Speer 90 TNT's for coyotes, Pdogs, and all around plinking. My Target load is using 115gr MatchKings. For Hunting I use 110gr Pro Hunters or 110gr Accubonds. The accubond is a better bullet, but I have much better accuracy w/the Pro Hunters, and they're quite a bit cheaper as well.

I use CCI #41's for everything. I find it easier just to stick w/one kind. JMO.

I'm sure other more experienced members will be along to give you better advice.
Primers:
Large rifle - CCI 200 and Remington 9.5
Small rifle - CCI#41, CCI#400, Remington 7.5, Wolf 5.56

Powder:
110 grain - 115 grain H322
90 - 100 grain H4198

I like the Remington FMJ's for most training of you can find them.
115 gr. Rem in stock at Cabelas

Cabelas shows the 115 gr Remington in stock right now. $80/500. The main Remington rifle bullet product page shows them as 115 gr. When you add them to the cart, they show as 110 gr. That is a typo as I have ordered these before and they are the 115's.

For you pistol shooters, they show MagTech small pistol primers in stock now too along with Federal Gold small pistol magnum. I did not see any small rifle in stock.

I load the 115's with H335. I use Re7 for 90 Speers. H322 and 110 gr Sierra Pro-hunters is about as standard of a load as you can get, though a number of powders shoot the Sierras well.

I am almost finished with going through by blemished 110 HPBT's that I got from Midway last year and have laid in a supply of Sierra 110 ProHunter's that I will be loading with SSA brass, CCI 41 primers with H322 as primary powder (I have some H335 that I got when H322 wasn't available that I can use as a backup).
Thanks for the advice guys!! Fun show coming up next weekend so I'll see what I can come up with in powder and primers.
Look for CCI #41 & Rem 7 1/2 SR primers and CCI #34 and Rem 9 1/2 LR primers.

I use only H322 right now but have H335 & Benchmark 3lb each to try later on.

My gun loves 28gr's of H322, #41 primers, SSA SP brass, with 110gr Nosler AccuBonds seated at about 2.285". 1/10 SAMMI chamber
FOr true all aorund one powder one primer only:

Powder:H335

Primers: CCI 41 or Wolf 5.56

Cases: SSA small primer

That will work with everything from 85-130
Wounder if I should try the H335 with my 110gr Accubond loads? They sure do shoot good with the H322 and I dont see me shooying anything lighter unless it's .223 loads were I shoot 69gr and 77gr SMK's.
