OK I messed up and bought an aac 7.62sd for my .308 and 6.8. I thought  which was my mistake that my barrel was threaded to the norm of 5/8 24RH. Well turns out my stag barrel is 1/2X36 and AAC doesn't make a qd in that config.

Sooooooo do I have my barrel redone to the 5/8X24(if so who would you guys trust to do this sense I'm going to be screwing a suppressor on the end of it?) or do I go ahead and buy a xtreme barrel? The xtreme barrel is 5/8X24 right? or am I still thinking to much?

I mean if it costs half the price of the xtreme barrel or more I would just rather have the new barrel, but If you guys know who could square away my situation for much less with trustworthy work I would go that route.

You may want to contact them, I thought they adapted from 1/2x36 to a 5/8X24 but I dunno. If they dont im sure they could tell you where to get the adapter from. Now as for who you could use to rethread your barrel, probably ADCO if I had to guess, but what is going to kill you is the shipping to and from. Most gunsmiths could probably do it so check your area

There is a much simpler solution:

Call or visit by web, Mark McWillis at TROS. They make adapters for all sorts of threads. I use one of theirs for my 1/2 X 28 threads so that I may mount my 5/8 X 24 can on 5.56's.

They are guaranteed to be concentric. They are not expensive, either :)
