My buddy wants to build a ar10 .308 what would be the best twist and he is determined to have it cryo-ed is it worth that on a semi-auto platform. I thinks he wants an actula build not a marriaging two halves.

Cryo? Lothar did a study to see if there really was a benefit. They said it relieves 7% of the stress in a barrel, thats all.
It's a good sales gimmick though.
I had some guy on the LWRC forum argu for days about that, said it relieves 100% of the stress of a hammer forged barrel :shock:
There are some good hammer forged barrels out there, most made in Europe though.
