I know velocities would not be as great but it may be a good accuracy load in the 2900 fps range. Plus you wouldn't have to change powder from the 110 gr. bullets

Yes, I went up to 33 grains with the 85gr TSX. Using SSA brass and CCI#41 primers that load gave me 2558 fps average from an 8.5" barrel and 2918 fps from a 14.7" barrel. The primers were starting to get slightly flat at that point. For this bullet I'm sticking with between 29 and 29.5 grains of H4198. The 29.5 grain loading pushed the TSX to 2656 fps from the 8.5" and 3019 fps from the 14.7", matching SSA factory velocities. The brass looked okay for pressure signs.

H322 is usable as RCrandall has said but to slow to be a recommended choice. To date the fastest vel have come from rel7 but barrel spec and COAL neck tension effect this 4198 is in the same area.

RCrandall.

What is your reasoning to keeping the COAL so short? To say with factory specs? Driving ban issue? I know you use the Barretts for their rock solid relaiblity but they allow 2.25 correct? I was guessing it was just easier to say with whatever the factory specs were loaded to then hunt around but wanted to ask.

I wanted to make sure they would fit in any of my mags, though the Barrett's will take bullets up to 2.250" - 2.260". Since there are only two driving bands on this bullet I wanted to make sure I would be able to crimp into the band like a cannelure. Would the COAL extend past 2.250" if the bullet was seated to the second band? These are combat rounds mostly for my PSD and as long as I am able to get all my shots with that weapon into the head of a blue smurf target at 100 yards I'm happy. I seated them to the first band low so that the brass crimps on the edge. I suppose I could have experimented with different COAL's to tighten groups a little.
