I'm looking for a FFL in a free state!

I wanted to buy a post ban compliant S&W carbine from Buds Guns but they won't ship to CT(It is legal here btw).

My FFL here will xfer to me but only if I can get it shipped to him. Buds says that is the owners policy & that it. I offered to pay for it & ship to another dealer out of state to reship to me & they said no.

Can any FFL's out there help me out?

border patrol is right. No other options. I'll be a little more specific, as you seem to be misplacing the blame.

Nope - you need an FFL in YOUR state of residence.

Make sure you read up on your laws very well before jumping on Bud's. He might be right. Do you fully understand what makes a rifle illegal in CT? Even if it's legal, it's still his choice to not ship to a draconian state.

If it's for sure legal, and Bud's won't sell to you, shop elsewhere. There are lots of dealers.

Your FFL is right. No firearm can be shipped directly to your home. They always have to go through a FFL in your state of residence. That, by the way, isn't the owner's policy, that's federal law. Shipping to another dealer out of state would do you no good.

Let me try & be clear if I wasn't in the op!

I am looking for a FFL who can get the item in their state & ship to my FFL who will accept it on my behalf & 4473 it to me.

There is nothing Illegal about what I want to do, just the dealers (Buds) own policy about shipping a legal firearm to my state.

Yes, I know the legal aspects of my states AWB. (not on the list by name, no fixed stock & no flash hider/bayo lug or threaded barrel)

The item is sold by S&W as a ban state gun.

I just don't want spend $400-500 more because a CT dealer has it in stock!
