Unfortunately, I discovered today, one of custodians who works at our office, lost his nephew in Afganistan on 07/23/09.

Kevin, a really good guy, lost his nephew Jeremy while deployed in Afganistan as a U.S. Marine. I don't have any further details at this time....other than the department email we received notifying us of the incident.

Semper Fidelis Jeremy Lasher

Rest in Peace

I haven't seen my friend to express to him any condolences because I am working midnights at this time, and I don't know if he will be in any time soon. I will relay to the family everyones well wishes and sympathies. This is the third Leatherneck from this area to be killed in action this year in Afganistan. I see it being a difficult period of time for our military and I pray for everyone in harms way.

There was a very large turn out...

Unfortunately the news up this way does not do a very good job covering the event. They just hit a couple of high lights and thats it.
