Should I use my 6.8 to shoot an Antelope this year? With a doe and buck license, I can use a couple of gun choices. I know some people have done ok with the Gold Dots. Since I have plenty of Gold Dot ammo for my ARP barrel, I could do that, some other AR cartridge, or somewhat conventional up to my 300 Weatherby Mag which seems way too much.

What do you guys think?

Caliber choice limits range . It's your call . If you are not willing to limit shots to 300 or less go big if you are willing to keep shots within 6.8 range why not . As far as 90 gd . They are good hunting bullets and will do the job .

I shot one 5 years ago with my 6.8 and a 120gr SST. Only about 100 yards out. Tried to take a step and fell over dead. The Gold Dot's should work well.
