My son and I got invited to go hunt with Bill at his place next weekend (www.circlewcranch.com )

He knows I shoot a 6.8 and we have been discussing load data the last few days

Cool, another top notch builder doing a 6.8!

I know it's a 16", 1 in 11, SPC11 barrel

Can't wait until next weekend!!!

So he confirmed it? A Wilson Combat 6.8 would be great. They use nice triggers in their rifles, and the builds seem well put together. I can't wait for your report, and good luck with the hunt. Have fun!!

I'm looking forward to hearing about this new rifle, and your hunt.

Very good news!

Are you taking your new Trijicon 1-4X ? Just curious because that scope is still on my radar for a future build.

yes, taking mine of course!
I think he's in the research phase

I told him I think a fluted stainless 17" barrel would be a good seller

hoping my 12 year old gets his first hog!
he's killed 3 deer but no hogs yet
had him pracing in the backyard yesterday evening
I have a Beeman .20 cal pellet rifle with a scope and had him practing behind the ear shots on a simulated pig shoulder/head out of cardboard at about 60 yards, about a 2" group (the gun will litterally drive tacks at 30 yards)
then had him shooting small 3-4" diameter balloons, put 3 up and he nailed each one first shot
giving him a 1, 2, 3 second count down to get on target and take the shot

more practice is in order!

he will be shooting his 243, my '59 Sako 243 with a cut down stock and handloaded barnes 85g and a Burris ill ret FF2 3-9
