I know some of the 6.8 bolts use 556 extractors, and others use a 6.8 specific extractor.... I honestly cant tell you which one you have... maybe you can call the company who made it and ask them which extractor to use for your 6.8 bolt? then it would be easy to order...

It`s definatly a 6.8 extractor as it`s thicker than the one in the 5.56 rile I have, 6.8 is quite a rare caliber over here and the inital few made by SGC seem to be all there are so thought it would be easier to source a replacement on this forum.

In the beginning of the 6.8 there where only 5.56 extractors. And this is what the first 6.8's where made with according to an engineer at PRI. Later one was made specifically and sourced in England if you can believe that. Then after much use and most of us have some of these extractors if we go back about around 2 years in the supply chain PRI reverted back to the 5.56 and the rest of the industry followed. Stag only sells one for both the 6.8 & 5.56. Last fall I bought 2 PRI extractors via Midway and received one specific 6.8 and one 5.56 and it was the luck of the draw. What was learned by PRI was the 6.8 specific extractor was chewing brass where the 5.56 does not.

I have used both and confirmed the above and YMMV. I do like the larger claw on the 6.8 extractor, but both work fine.
