here is my cousin with his second buck in 16 years of hunting.
he built it using a CA 16" lite barrel and could not wait to go hunting with it, first morning he get this.....

he is a very happy camper! said the deer went about 50yds after the shot using SSA 110gr. prohunters.

he said that he thinks he hit a small branch (1/2") just before the deer, but the entrance hole was fairly small, the jacket separated from the core and all he found was the core stuck on the off side of the deer right next to the exit hole, which was small as well. only bone he could have hit would have been ribs. he said the lungs were mush. not really impressed with hole size but he got the deer none the less.
my wife could have used hers last night on a doe, but she saw a buck trailing her so she waited.
after the buck got to her she decided it was too small and was going to shoot the doe but by then the doe was out of her shooting lanes so she didn't shoot.

Try the SSA 85gr TSX or their 110gr Accubond loading.
