You can get or make alloyed lead bullets that you can shoot up to about 2200 fps. These are a very hard alloy. The main issue here is if you have a gas gun then you should not use lead bullets as it is a case of when and not if the gas port or tube will be fouled with the lead. Gas checked bullets would only delay the problems for a short time.
If you are shooting a bolt gun then it is a non issue. As long as the alloy will not lead the barrel at the velocities you will be shooting at.
