Heres a couple pics of the Barnes 180gr TTSX
Barnes 180 1.jpg Barnes 180 2.jpg
With the Tips Removed to be able
to fit in the Magazine.

200 ftx 2.JPG
Here is the current load with the
Hornady 200gr FTX @2132fps

And how it shoots
358MGP.jpg
The group to the right
.352" 5 shot group @
100 Yards

Uses all 6.8 components
And only a small Mag Modification
is needed. I only use PRI magazines
358 mag.JPG
Simply mill out the rib on the mag
and you can still use them for your 6.8

This chart is not to knock the 458 but show how well a mid-bore AR
performs

Let me tell you, it's so much fun to shoot. Even my fire forming rounds were accurate. Shot 100 rounds over 3 range trips and I was shooting 1.5" at 100 yards and 2.5" at 200 yards with the fire forming loads. The FTX is a great bullet. Now I'll load up some formed loads and see what I get when I go back to the range.

So the magical question is: how do you suppress it? Sounds like a .338 suppresor would be needed or larger. Sounds like it is to fast for a pistol caliber suppressor.

Im not sure what can you could use but bigger than a .338 fore sure. I never planned on suppressing this round but it would be sweet.
I would say no to a pistol can cause this rounds runs the same pressure as the 6.8

IIRC Wilson's suppressor has a .358 bore and is rated for it.
