I got my 12" 358 Yeti AR barrel on Thursday so I quickly assembled the upper and headed out to the range with it. I didn't collect any velocity data, I was firing 158g XTPs and 180g SSPs mainly for function testing and trying to figure out gas port size.

I drilled the port to .076 based on the recommendations of those that know better than me. Although the rifle wasn't fully cycling, it did manage to kick out brass from time to time. I believe a larger part of the FTEs were due to a weak extractor spring (no oring) and improper case sizing~ .005 more bump needed.

All in all, it was awesome to shoot the round in our favorite platform, even if it was via hand cycling. Here's a short video I compiled from the trip. Enjoy!

Got the port tentatively dialed in! Here's a short video of a 5rd mag dump:

From the 12" bbl, I was able to achieve 2435fps with a 180g bullet via magneto speed.
