I finished up an 18" barreled .338 ARSM(AR short mag.) and stopped by the range for the first shots this afternoon.
I had loaded up Sierra 215gr SBT with 335, 3031 and 322 so I shot those through the chronograph and it really hit close to what Quickload had predicted. H335 was the fastest at 2484fps and NO signs of pressure.
The Sierras have a BC of .477 and were as accurate as I remember, 1 big hole at 50yards since I was just getting on paper and checking velocity.
The Barnes TSX has a BC of .437 I believe and should break 2600 easily so they should be a hog stopper like no other.
The upper was built using Olympic parts and that makes it kind of expensive compared to most uppers I can build.
I'll try some more loads this week after I get caught up on orders.
The 6.5ARSM is next and may be built on the new platform.

Is this in an AR15 or AR10 lower? Then again it probably won't matter much as I have an AR10 stripped lower That I will eventually build anyways. I just have started getting parts together for my first build, I can't wait for the xtreme upper to come out for my second 6.8 and now this. I think I might have to get another couple of jobs to help pay for all this
NS, the BRD has that effect on many. LOL
These are on a AR15 lower, one rifle is a standard AR15 upper with modification and the other is a new design upper on a AR15 lower.
I was able to shoot a few after testing the 6.8s that I need to ship.
The .338 ARSM 215 Sierra hit 2554fps out of the 18" barrel, the 200gr should reach 2600fps in a 18" and 2650fps from a 20".
The 6.5 ARSM 120gr hit 2956fps from a 22" barrel with the new design upper on a AR15 lower.
I think I found a few new hunting rifles for next year. :D
ETA- The .338 ARSM actually beats the .338 Federal in performance and the 6.5 ARSM matches the .260 Rem in a AR15 sized platform.

What kind of scope are you using for the .338 and which scopes would you recommend for long distance shots?
I have a Leupold 4.5-14x50 that I swap back and forth between rifles when I test.
Scope choice depends mainly on $, I always use mildot reticles though. I have a Nightforce that may be the best but, it is heavy and cost apx $1500,
The Leupold Mk4 6.5-20x50 is my favorite seems like it was $899?
I have a Burris Black Diamond on my varmint rifle that I also like and it was only $500 I think.
all of those are 30mm.

Nikko Sterlings are air gun scopes and IMO have a limited adjustment range even though they are being sold out of shotgun news as high power rifle scopes. They are made in Japan and 3 different companies are offering them by different names, you can recognize them by a slanted front bell and green tinted lens.

Check Natchez Shooters Supply, Optics Planet, Bear Basin outfitters and SWFA
The Falcon Scopes seem to get decent reviews also-linkhttp://www.snipercentral.com/menace4.htm
