I'm so excited my extremes are in bound!!!:):):):) I'm leaving in a few days to go to Florida on vacation and I want to reload a couple hundred rounds to shoot when I get back. I've been shooting some lighter loads with 110 pro hunters and 10x powder (because I shoot them out of a bolt gun). I want to load some faster loads for my xtremes. I'm thinking 28.5 to 29 grains. What would be a good load to shoot? I will do some max loads testing when I've puts some rounds through them. Do you think I can safely run 29 grains of 10x under the 110 pro hunters? Without testing?

Thanks. I was searching and couldn't find the post. I'm going to go down and load some with 29 grains and cci41 primers and some virgin SSA brass. Boy, I'm excited!!! It's almost like Christmas time.

cool
I have a bunch of Hornady 1x fired brass I am going to load up (backed off 2g) a hundred rounds of prohunters to help break in the barrel

the SSA brass will get used for serious load development and hunting

I've got 300 remington large primer brass. I wonder how much I would have to back of using them? I probably need to save them for my bolt gun so the brass stays separate.
H recommended the 30.5 gr MAX load for the 110 Pro Hunters for my SAM-R with Re10X and to load as long as possible out to 2.295 - 2.30 inches. This is with a rifle length gas and DMR chamber so maybe back off to about 29 and work up.

As for the Rem LR primer brass I think keeping it separate would be a good idea. I also have a 16 inch SPC II chambered 1/10 twist that I will use my Rem LR brass with. This way I will know instantly that it is a lighter load than what my SAM-R can handle. I also have some Hornady SR primer brass/ammo which will also go for the 1/10 twist. That way I know that ALL of my SSA brass is for the SAM-R.

You need to drop down at least 2 grains and then use the primer as the indicator of pressure as you work up. In general the large primer brass will pop primers at velocity that the SSA SP bass exceeds with no pressure issues at all. The large primers wikll show you pressure with flattening and loosing the raiduisua nd cupping. If you see cupping or lose of radius you are maxed and need to back down a tad as when you shoot fast it will be over.
